Some time after the game's release, people reported to have seen the legendary 'Leatherface' who is a killer with a chainsaw from the film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The myth has generated large amounts of hype and hunts to find the killer. Given the nature of the camp, mainly because of the old sawmill and bloodstains in its cabins, as well as a Chainsaw pickup in the area, it has been attributed as one of the locations where Leatherface may appear. Indeed, at night time and in a storm, the area can seem rather scary, hence giving rise to rumors as any mysterious place would.
