Welcome to GamerU’s guide to the Joust game mode in Smite, a 3v3 setup in normal play and a 1v1 match in ranked play. This guide will focus on the 3v3 aspect, as it is available to all players. In the normal 3v3 mode, team compositions usually consist of a mage, a hunter, and melee god such as a warrior or a guardian.
Players begin Joust with 1500 gold and start at level three to kick things off. The one lane featured in Joust is fairly small, but has a jungle on either side.
The jungle consists of a speed buff and a mana buff on each team’s half of the map, but has two damage buffs in the middle as well that are up for contention.
Teamwork in team fighting specifically is emphasized quite heavily in the 3v3 Joust, and it is incredibly important that players work together to find success in their skirmishes. Understanding your role in a team of only three players is crucial.
As with many other game modes in Smite, towers can be found in Joust; however, only one tower protects each team’s phoenix, and in this single-lane mode the enemy’s titan can be exposed rather quickly if a team gets ahead.
Good luck practicing this unique game mode, and have fun trying to outplay your opponents in Joust. Thank you for watching, and for more on Smite check out GamerU’s other videos.
