Welcome to GamerU’s guide on the Arena game mode in Smite, one of the five consistently available game modes that players can choose from. The arena has no lanes nor towers to destroy, but rather is an opportunity for players to engage in 5v5 fighting at the highest frequency possible.

Damage, mana, and speed buffs do exist on this map, and can be found on either side of the arena and are likely points of contention for both teams.

Each team has 500 tickets at the start of the match that can be reduced by gods being slain, minions being last-hit, or minions and siege towers making it through the portals located at the center of each base. The goal of each team is to reduce the opposing team’s ticket count to zero, at which point they are victorious.

Each god enters this game mode at level 3 and with 1500 gold to spend, so the battles are relatively intense right off the bat.

As a result, staying grouped up with your teammates will most often help you to find success when you engage. Additionally, the context of this game mode favors gods with strong team-fight presence or a lot of harass, so it is important to keep that in mind when creating a team composition and selecting your god.
