I didn't even know this difficulty existed last time I was playing, this and the prerelease change that removes the infinite ammo from your starter gun really made the game pop for me, it's fun trying to zoom around shooting whatever your find and ripper sawing through enemies. I slept on jet burst before, but it's so incredibly good -- it's like your own 3 dimensional sprint button, enemies just can't keep up which lets you save the ammo you kinda need for the significantly buffed bosses.

GUNHEAD is a fun first person roguelite where you engage in some space piracy/scavenging, it's a mix of action gameplay with responsive controls and strategic planning, with a small amount of having to adapt on the fly if a shuffle module shifts everything. I (still) havent played Cryptark, but I probably will soon.

This isn't out yet, thanks for the early access to the developer (through Steam curator). A couple of minor bugs in this run were reported and should hopefully be fixed by the time the game is public, in particular the chaingun sound glitch should be patched already. GUNHEAD comes out 11/8/2023 on Steam here:
