I run my guardian through everything. I've done level 48 fractals with 20 agony resistance on this character and done just fine in the past.
It's mostly due to the build that I run: it's incredibly tanky while still pushing out some respectable damage and important boons. 100% protection uptime on the whole team, blast finishers and a ton of heals make this build hugely versatile.

It's not a dps build though.
