.hack//Infection Playthrough - part 1
16Welcome back to another Playthrough series.
I've been absent for a while and i'm still not back fully as i'm in the middle of moving, but i've decided to still start another playthrough.
This time i'm playing through the .hack// series of games that released on the Playstation 2 throughout the years of 2003-2004.
This series includes the volumes :
.(dot)Hack//Infection
.(dot)Hack//Mutation
.(dot)Hack//Outbreak
.(dot)Hack//Quarantine
There is also another .Hack// game called frägment which connects to the revision 1 .Hack// games, but as it is an Online game i will leave it out.Also it's only in Japanese (although there are english patches).
the .Hack// games are one of my favorite Anime adaption games.The game itself isn't groundbreaking and a bit grindy (which i love, i love grindy games), but the story is very great and plays around a game called "The World".
"The World" is an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game).The Story begins with Kite being invited by his friend Yasuhiko (Player Name: Orca) to play the World.
While Orca is guiding Kite through the beginnings of the Game they encounter a Girl in a White dress (Aura) being chased by a Creature called "Skeith".
At the lowest part of the Dungeon the two get teleported to a strange place where they once again encounter Aura.Just as Aura gave the Book of Twilight to Orca Skeith makes his apperance.
Orca tries to fend him off but to no avail and gets defeated.
While Skeith is about to also finish off Kite he gets interrupted by a shockwave caused by a spear thrusting into the ground and Kite gets teleported once again.
apperantly the servers of "The World" crashed.Before being logged out, the Book of Twilight is going over to Kite after Orca was defeated.
Kite finds out that his friend, Yasuhiko (Orca), was hospitalized after the fight and is in a Coma.Kite is logging back in to post the happenings on the Board of the game to find out what could have caused his friend to fall into a coma.This is where the Story of .Hack//Infection starts to unveil.
