This is how I hacked my Roomba to play Doom.

I don't go into the software but it's on my GitHub at https://github.com/andrew-t/roomba — I should warn you, it's not what I'd call Good Software™. But you might be able to get it working. Also, heads-up: this is not secure. The dependencies and file permissions all very much assume there's no way for an attacker to get onto the pi, so if you do connect it to the internet, do so carefully or only for a short time.

To connect to the Google Assistant, I used webhooks on https://ifttt.com to hit a URL on my own website that pointed to my home IP, where my router forwarded it to the Pi. Er, the correct Pi.
