Hades - Good Riddance Synth Cover
26Two weeks ago I attended VGM Together and saw Darren Korb and Ashley Barrett preform this track among other of their work. I was so blown away by their performance that I've sung this track in the car on my way to and back home from work. I've also realized I'm humming it in the shower even. This made made me feel a strong need to do my take of it even though every YouTube cover artist seem to have had a stab at it already.
I used a lot of cool Yamaha DX7 type synth sounds for my version and a very soft drum kit. For the vocals it was fun, but a bit tricky to sing the falsetto harmony. some wet reverb and chorus made it blend quite nice with the music though. I had no particular sound in mind when I started out, but 80s/90s synth seem to be my sound so I rolled with it like I so very often do.
I hope you enjoy my early 90s synth take on this superb track.
