🚀 Historia
La trama comienza justo después de lo ocurrido en Halo: Combat Evolved.
En la Tierra:
El Jefe Maestro regresa como héroe, pero los alienígenas del Covenant descubren la ubicación de la Tierra y lanzan un ataque.
El Jefe lucha contra ellos en Nueva Mombasa (África).
El Inquisidor:
Por primera vez, no solo controlamos al Jefe Maestro, sino también a un élite del Covenant llamado El Inquisidor (The Arbiter).
Vemos la historia desde el punto de vista enemigo: los Elites empiezan a cuestionar a los líderes del Covenant, los Profetas, que manipulan la religión para sus fines.
El nuevo anillo:
Descubren que hay otro Halo, y la lucha por controlarlo vuelve a comenzar.
El Jefe intenta detener al Covenant para que no lo activen, mientras el Inquisidor descubre la verdad: los Halos son armas diseñadas para destruir toda la vida en la galaxia, no “portales a la salvación” como les hicieron creer.
El Flood regresa:
El parásito reaparece y se convierte en un tercer enemigo que amenaza tanto a humanos como a Covenant.
Final:
El juego termina en cliffhanger (continuación directa hacia Halo 3).
El Jefe Maestro queda a bordo de una nave Covenant que se dirige a la Tierra, y dice la famosa frase: “Señor, estoy terminando la pelea”.

Ahora se pueden usar dos armas a la vez (dual wielding).

The plot begins immediately after the events of Halo: Combat Evolved.
On Earth:
The Master Chief returns as a hero, but Covenant aliens discover Earth's location and launch an attack.
The Chief fights them in New Mombasa, Africa.
The Arbiter:
For the first time, we control not only the Master Chief, but also a Covenant elite called The Arbiter.
We see the story from the enemy's point of view: the Elites begin to question the Covenant leaders, the Prophets, who manipulate religion for their own purposes.
The New Ring:
They discover there is another Halo, and the fight to control it begins again.
The Chief tries to stop the Covenant from activating it, while the Arbiter discovers the truth: Halos are weapons designed to destroy all life in the galaxy, not "portals to salvation" as they were led to believe.
The Flood Returns:
The parasite reappears and becomes a third enemy that threatens both humans and the Covenant.
Ending:
The game ends on a cliffhanger (a direct sequel to Halo 3).
The Master Chief is aboard a Covenant ship heading for Earth and utters the famous phrase, "Sir, I'm finishing the fight."
