Halo 2 is a great addition to Bungie's Halo series in many ways, but I always find it a struggle to continue once I reach its second half and the Arbiter's two-parter of Sacred Icon and Quarantine Zone.

Neither Sacred Icon nor Quarantine Zone are terrible, but they're both somewhat uninspiring and could perhaps even be considered poorly thought out inclusions by Bungie given they appear at a point Halo 2 where the game should really be ramping up the excitement prior to its conclusion.

In this second half of a two part series, I analyse the game design of Quarantine Zone, examining in more detail everything from story and sound to level and encounter design, with a view to eventually explaining why I think it's simply the first half of a missed opportunity.
