Halo: The Master Chief Collection is a compilation of first-person shooter video games in the Halo series, originally released in November 2014 for Xbox One, and later for Microsoft Windows in 2019 and 2020. An enhanced version specifically for Xbox Series X and Series S was made available in November of the latter year. The collection was developed by 343 Industries in collaboration with other studios and was published by Xbox Game Studios. The collection includes Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Reach, and Halo 4, which were originally released on previous Xbox platforms.
Each game added to the Master Chief Collection has received a visual upgrade, with Halo 2 receiving a full high-definition rework of its audio and cinematics exclusively for the collection in celebration of its tenth anniversary. The game includes access to the live-action series Halo: Nightfall and the limited-time beta version of Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer. The collection's multiplayer includes every map originally released for each game, including six remade maps from Halo 2.
