85Today on Gamertag VR we are checking out 2 games/experiences on Oculus Quest 2 using Oculus App Lab. Stay to till the end of the video to learn how to install App Lab games on your Oculus Quest and Oculus Quest 2. Firstly we revist first steps vr! you can throw paper aeroplanes, play with colourful bricks, dance with a robot and much more but now you can experince this with amazing hand tracking on oculus quest which currently can only be found on App Lab. Then we play Tiny Castles which is an "action vr puzzle game" built from the ground up using hand-tracking. It's an experimental project developed internally at Oculus to test necessary interactions for a hands-only game experience.
In the game, you play as a powerful god. The game's objective is simple - free your "believers" from the evil god and his minions and advance forward to destroy the obelisk which powers the evil in this world. The game was built to identify the types of game mechanics that could work well with hand-tracking. For this reason, it lacks real challenge and difficulty balancing and focuses more on showcasing a variety of hand interactions instead.
