How to opt into the aux02 branch:

Right-click on Rust Staging in your Steam library, select properties, then on betas tab select aux02 from the drop down box.

Server needs to also be on aux02 (-beta aux02). hardcore mode can be enabled with gamemode.set hardcore in console.
