Hardcore Mode is a new way to play video games! In this series, I will be under a number of particular challenges during certain parts of the game. After I defeat a gym leader, the challenges will change.
Until I defeat Misty, I am under Nuzlocke Rules, meaning that if a Pokemon faints, it is considered dead and I have to release it. Also, I can only catch the first Pokemon in an area. Lastly, I am forbidden from catching Dark, Psychic or Ghost Pokemon (this is not a Nuzlocke rule). If I meet a Dark, Psychic or Ghost Pokemon, I must run away or defeat it and I can't catch anything else in that area.
After defeating Misty, the Nuzlocke Rules are no longer in effect and I can only have Bug, Dark, Ghost or Poison type Pokemon or Rattata in my party and I cannot have any snake Pokemon or catch any new Pokemon. In this episode that leaves me with Beedrill, Ivysaur and Oddish.
