In Episode 20 of the Hardspace Shipbreaker solo series, Scottish Bex takes on her biggest salvage job yet — the Delphinus Express, a Javelin-class Industrial ship last owned by Hanzo Freight and valued at an impressive $43.5 million. It’s the most expensive vessel she’s ever broken down… but the real chaos is waiting back at the Hab.

The job itself? Surprisingly smooth — though a few stray pieces get tossed into the wrong bins (it happens!). Along the way, Bex encounters a fun new feature: those armour plates that look suspiciously like chocolate bars. Sweet? Not so much. These chunky slabs add a new layer to the dismantling process.

But with Hazard Level 9 in play, there’s little time for novelty. Many of the atmosphere regulators are damaged or outright broken, making decompression unpredictable and dangerous. Careful planning becomes critical as Bex works to keep things contained and avoid a catastrophic pressure event.

And then, it happens.

Back at the Hab, HAL calls. But this isn’t the usual cold professionalism — he’s unhinged. Where is Lou? No one’s heard from her. No goodbyes. No trace. Just silence.

Then the final blow: HAL seizes Buela, the one thing Bex has worked so hard to rebuild. The message is clear — fall in line or lose everything.

But maybe HAL has finally gone too far.

End music: Acoustic Breeze by Benjamin Tisso
