Rusty Hearts is free-to-play anime inspired 3D brawler action side-scroller MMORPG with fast paced gameplay. It is developed by Stairway Games and published by Perfect World Entertainment. The game is still in closed beta (started on july 27,2011).

Rusty Hearts has hack and slash combat gameplay and completing dungeons is the "main object" of course while doing quests, the cooperative gameplay and gamepad support are some pretty nice features and add to that the pvp matches, stylish graphics and instanced personal rooms (can be decorated) and you have some pretty addictive and great game there.

At the time there are three different characters/classes available:
1.Frantz Kruger
- Race: Half Human and Vampire
- Gender: Male
- Character Type: Melee
- Weapons: Swords and Axes

This glamorous man never thought his life would drastically change after he was bitten by a vampire. Since then, he started being a human and vampire Hybrid. He bites his fiancée Amelia, turning her into a half vampire as well. Being that, Amelia was involved in a confusing accident in which he had to bite her to save her, even when Frantz knew that she would also turn into a Hybrid Vampire.

2.Angela Strraugend
- Race: Human and Fairy
- Gender: Female
- Character Type: Melee- Range
- Weapons: Magic Sword and Scythe

This young magician girl lives deep in a forest of Rumania, in which there is a small village that only witches who were trained there, kept under their protection. Now that the chaos has hit the whole Rusty Hearts World, this young witch named Angela is called to aid in the siege on Curtis Castle.

3.Tude Macloud
- Race: Human
- Gender: Male
- Character Type: Melee
- Weapons: Gauntlets and Claws

Tude is a young traveler who loves to explore and adventure all around the world. In one of his journeys, he was ambushed by a fierce wolf which he managed to kill. However, one of the beast teeth broke off inside his chest. Rarely, the wound was quickly healed, but the tooth was sealed in his body. After this, his arm turned into a claw hidden in a gauntlet. Afterwards, he's sealed within the Curtis castle, at the time when the golden team was about to build trap barriers to get Lord Vlad inside. He finally meets Frantz and Angela, and joins the Rusty Hearts team, when he gets into the first floor of the Curtis Castle.

The available PvP combat modes are:
Solo and Team Survival:
- A knock-down, drag-out battle where the last man standing wins. No respawning, no healinging. Play the team mode and win when you can knock out all of the other team's players, or play solo with up to seven other players as everyone tries to get the most kills and be the last one to survive.

Deathmatch:
- The most straightforward mode pits teams against each other in a no-holds-barred brawl. Points are tallied as each member of a team is defeated, but no one stays down for long and it's anyone's game until the timer hits zero. The team with the most kills at the end is declared the winner.

Tag Team:
- Solo combat with a team-based twist, Tag Team mode pits your team against the opponent in a series of short, one on one matches. Defeat the entire team's roster to achieve victory but be careful, the order of opponents is random.

Leader Match:
- Choose your leader wisely in this game type, because if they fall it's game over. Be the first to slay the other team's VIP to win, but remember that support and healing roles are often just as important as punching the other team's Leader in the face. Always go for the face.
