ON THE MOST FRUSTRATING PART OF TONIGHT’S GAME:
“I feel like this is a game we had a chance to get and start a little streak here, and we kind of just let it slip. But it’s definitely a game we probably should have won.”
ON HOW THE TEAM CAN KEEP POSTIVE VIBES AND TRY TO GET ON TRACK:
“I think that’s the hump, having that energy all the time. Like when things are good we look really good because our energy is high and when things get bad we kind of like sulk with it. We don’t keep that same energy and I think that’s getting over the hump because if we can keep that same energy, whether we’re up by 15 or we’re down by 15, we still got to have that same energy like when we’re up. I think that in itself is probably going to get us over the hump, by just always staying positive and keeping a positive energy. Past couple games our bench’s energy has been, not coming into the game, but just like on the bench high-fiving, being up when things is going good. That matters and myself is one of the biggest dudes that got to do that. When I come out of the game and you frustrated or whatever, you want to sit there and think about the game, but you got to turn the energy right back to the dudes who did the same thing for you and I think that in itself gets you a whole other level of chemistry. That’s what this journey has been all about, just building chemistry. Like we know the deal, we’re trying to win games. We’re trying to build on your game and trying to help each other out at the same time and that’s where we are at with it. Still trying to build that chemistry where, I want to see this guy play well. I want to see this guy do well and he wants to see me do well, and he’s throwing me the ball and putting me in positions to do well and just spreading that love and energy. And in the past that’s how this team has been so deadly, not only do you have knock-down shooters but they’re spreading the ball and spreading the energy and love to other people’s hands and it comes back full circle and that’s where we got to get to.”
