Head of PlayStation Jim Ryan FIRED! | CEO of Sony's PS5 & Gaming "Steps Down" after Activision Loss
President & CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) Jim Ryan has been FIRED or as the official release states "stepped down" & "retires" from his role at Sony's gaming division running the PlayStation Division and the head of PS5. Jim Ryan is personably responsible for managing all the PlayStation studios creating first party ps5 exclusive games and managing third party gaming relationships as well as the creation of the PlayStation 5 Console, PS5 Pro, PS5 Slim, and soon the upcoming PS6. Recently however Jim Ryan has been in hot water with a lot of PlayStation fans by increasing PS5 Prices, increasing PS5 game prices to $70, and raising the Price of PlayStation Plus to $80 a year. On top of that, Jim Ryan completely fumbled his handling of Sony's attempt to block Microsoft from Acquiring Activision Blizzard and intergrating it as part of Xbox Games Studios and add games like Call of Duty to Xbox Gamepass Ultimate. After the FTC lost their case against Microsoft & the UK finally about to accept Microsoft's Merger agreement, the deal is all but set to go through. As a result of these 2 factors my guess is that Jim Ryan has to take the fall and was removed from his position at Sony and PlayStation. Will this be good or bad for the PS5 & PS6? Only time will tell.
