It's already kind of messed up that the smaller Shades are children. But to have a literal mother and child just makes it all the more bleak. But yeah didn't you see the little shade with the robot in the flashback? No? Well tough because he was there the whole time! I know they need to establish a relationship between the two, otherwise having a random Shade on top of P-33 is just odd, but it could have been foreshadowed a little. I guess it was for the reveal that Gideon actually had seen a Shade when asked about? It's still a very non-descript Shade in comparison to the others.
