Story : Senior Seaman Joanna Felicia Rohna laid to rest After Helicopter Tragedy.
In a solemn ceremony, Joanna Felicia Rona, a dedicated senior crew member of the Royal Malaysian Navy, was laid to rest at Kampong Engkaroh Christian Cemetery in Seran on Thursday morning. The funeral procession was attended by grieving family members, villagers, and fellow military personnel who came to pay their final respects.
Joanna, survived by her husband Haslie Ali, a Navy petty officer, along with their four-year-old daughter and one-year-old son, was remembered fondly by those who knew her. Friends and neighbors gathered at her family home in Kampong Engkaroh to offer support and condolences during this difficult time.
During the funeral service, First Admiral Franklin Jeyasekhar Joseff, representing the Royal Malaysian Navy, presented the Malaysian flag to Joanna's grieving husband. His heartfelt words conveyed the Navy's deep condolences and support to the bereaved family.
Joanna's tragic passing was a result of the helicopter collision that occurred at the Navy base in Lumut, Perak, on April 23rd. She was one of ten Navy personnel who lost their lives in the tragic accident, leaving behind a void in the hearts of her loved ones and colleagues alike. As the community mourns her loss, Joanna's memory will be cherished and her dedication to service remembered.
