This is a gondola ride over Hell’s Gate, an abrupt narrowing of the gorge at the most treacherous part of the Fraser River in British Columbia.  Hell’s Gate was named after Simon Fraser, who travelled along these treacherous waters back in 1808. He wrote in his journal, “No man should ever go through here; it was truly late going through the gates of hell.”
