Her First Darktide Mod Setup… and I’m Just the Emotional Support Veteran!
3All aboard the Train from Hell — next stop: utter chaos.
This was my first time completing the train mission on Auric Maelstrom, and let me tell you… it did not go smoothly. Elites swarming, specialists stacking, gunners around every corner — it felt like the Emperor himself was stress-testing my Boltgun + Chainsword build.
Today was a very special mission — not just because we fought heretics, but because Liari modded Darktide for the very first time. New HUD, third-person mode, fancy shaders — the works. Meanwhile, I grabbed my bolter, readied my chainsword, and fully embraced my role as her Emotional Support Veteran.
We kept it casual with a Malice difficulty run, but that didn’t stop the chaos from showing up uninvited. Between her Zealot’s righteous fury and my desperate efforts to keep her alive (and maybe show off just a little), this run turned into a perfect mix of date night + purging session.
