Heretic Wads Mods #3:Brutal Heretic RPG
0https://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?t=68735 Brutality lives.. and it will a long time, This mod I found when searching for Heretic mods since there doesn't seem to be many standouts like Doom has, That being said Brutal Doom set my world on fire and to see Heretic get the same exact treatment is something I just HAD to dive into.
This mod was originally worked on by Sargent_Mark_IV but it appeared to be abandoned, This "latest" version of Brutal Heretic RPG was released by ZDL_800, It increases the violence level, adds in a LOT of gore and blood, new weapon animations, new HD textures as a seperate Pk3 file, a optional music file that has covers of all of Heretic's infamous music pieces and intense explosions, It has no fatalities but I doubt they would fit in with Heretic's universe.
The RPG function in question relates to how your Armor, Health, and Attack power rises each time your level goes up, a nice XP bar on the left top of the screen tracks your progress, The visuals with the HD pk3 file look much better and crisp and the lighting is much better, This mod is one of my most played GZDoom mods and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes Brutal doom in general.
