No, I'm not quitting Youtube. I've been focused on twitch.
In this long delayed video we take a look at the PC/DOS port of Hero Quest released by Gremlin Graphics. Hero Quest was a board game by Milton Bradley and developed by Games Workshop (WarHammer which is why the goblins and orcs look alike)

The PC/DOS game as far as I know was never released in the US; a prototype NES version was developed but to my knowledge was never released; but screenshots can be found on google. I found this one on an Abandonware site. I used DOSBox with Dfend as a front end and Xbox video app to capture the footage. Due to health issues I ran out of steam after getting the shots edited, and it took me a whole month to get back up and do a hasty voice over. While I'm glad I got it done, I apologize if it seems a little bit cobbled together. I also show some footage of the board game I got for Christmas in 94. I honestly should have edited the footage down as this game has the most tedious intro ever; it literally takes about 5 minutes to get past the opening screens...

The game functions pretty much like the board game; with rules and commands functioning just like they would IRL. The most annoying feature of the game would be the SOUND; turning it off produces a high volume beep every time you roll the dice to move.

You can find a copy of this game on most Abandonware sites. The Board game itself although having been a rarity in recent years has seen a revival among collectors and board game enthusiasts alike.
Thanks for watching; subscribe cause the Injun ain't done yet...
