Trait [D]: Reload
Tracer is able to execute Basic Attacks while in motion. Activate to reload all Ammo over 0.75 seconds. This trait activates automatically when player ammo reaches 0. Basic Attacks consume Ammo and add pulse bomb charges. You can attack 10 times over 1.25 seconds, draining Ammo with every shot. Reload sets your Ammo to full.
Blink [Q]: Quickly dash toward target location. Includes 3 charges. 6 second cooldown per charge
Melee [W]: Deal damage to an enemy, prioritizing the nearest enemy Hero. Hitting non-Heroes grants 5 Pulse Bomb charges. Hitting Heroes grants 10 Pulse Bomb charges. 8 second cooldown
Recall [E]: Returns player to the position they were 3 seconds ago. Also refills Ammo and cleanses negative status effects. Comes with 1 second of invulnerability while it casts. 24 second cooldown.
Heroic
Pulse Bomb [R]: Tracer’s only Heroic! Attaches a bomb to the first target hit, dealing damage in an area, or 2x damage to the primary target. Dealing damage charges this ability. Costs 100 charges to cast. Holds maximum of 100 charges.
Pulse Bomb is available to cast from Level 1. Instead of a second heroic at Level 10, Tracer can pick talents to modify Pulse Bomb in the following ways:
• [R1] Sticky Bomb: Increase the radius by 50%, and enemies hit are slowed by 60% for 3 seconds
• [R1] Quantum Spike: Pulse Bomb no longer does damage in an area, but deals additional damage to a single target equal to 10% of their Maximum Health
• [R1] Pulse Rounds: The range of Pulse Bomb is doubled, and Basic Attacks versus Heroes give 50% more charges to Pulse Bomb
Lena Oxton (call sign: "Tracer") was the youngest person ever inducted into Overwatch's experimental flight program. Known for her fearless piloting skills, she was handpicked to test the prototype of a teleporting fighter, the Slipstream. But during its first flight, the aircraft's teleportation matrix malfunctioned, and it disappeared. Lena was presumed dead.
She reappeared months later, but her ordeal had greatly changed her: her molecules had been desynchronized from the flow of time. Suffering from "chronal disassociation," she was a living ghost, disappearing for hours and days at a time. Even for the brief moments she was present, she was unable to maintain physical form.
Overwatch's doctors and scientists were stumped, and Tracer's case seemed hopeless until a scientist named Winston designed the chronal accelerator, a device capable of keeping Tracer anchored in the present. In addition, it gave Tracer the ability to control her own time, allowing her to speed it up and slow it down at will. With her newfound skills, she became one of Overwatch's most effective agents.
Since Overwatch's dissolution, Tracer has continued to right wrongs and fight the good fight wherever the opportunity presents itself.
This April, Tracer joins the cast of Heroes of the Storm.
In true FPS fashion, Tracer can attack while moving, does away with the mana bar for an ammo/reload mechanic, and brings all of her cool abilities from OW to a different play environment.
Tracer is a mobile ranged assassin that can be built out with her talents to become a glass cannon, persistent poker, or CC specialist. Her talents allow players to build her in a variety of ways with things like leeching rounds, or a focus on melee punishment, but any way you play, you're going to be reliving some of those epic OW moments where Tracer can triple-blink into an engagement, drop off a devastating pulse bomb, and fire off some rounds, then recall through time back to safety before the opponents can even react.
Tracer comes with an almost identical kit from her OW self, with a fast-firing gun-and-go playstyle that can triple-blink around the field, a time-recall that ports her three seconds back in the past, and a melee attack for close engagements.
It wouldn't be Tracer without her signature pulse-bomb attack, and that's included as her ultimate ability. Unlike other characters, Tracer can start using her ultimate at level one, and instead of acquiring an ultimate at level 10, she gains the ability to refine her pulse bomb with increased radius and a slow effect, a boost in single target damage at the cost of AoE, or extended range and easier charging.
