Gamers Inc, a Pickup Video | Rad Chaser & Son of Rad Chaser Score Big
Welcome back to the Rad Chaser Network, where today’s episode takes us to Gamers Inc.—a retro video game spot that came through in a BIG way. This isn’t just a casual pick-up video. This was a full-on treasure haul from another golden corner of Florida’s retro gaming scene.
The Son of Rad Chaser and I walked in just looking to browse—but walked out with bags full of Nintendo Power magazines, players guides, NES games, and deep nostalgia. Here's what we scored:
SON OF RAD CHASER'S HAUL:
1. Pokémon Battle Revolution Player's Guide
An essential piece for fans of one of the Wii’s most slept-on battle simulators. This guide is packed with maps, strategies, and artwork that brought the Pokémon Stadium energy into the Wii era.
2. 2009–2010 Wii Holiday Catalog
Talk about a time capsule. This glossy catalog was Nintendo’s official push for the holiday season and it's got it all:
New Super Mario Bros. Wii front and center as the headliner
Punch-Out!!, a revival that deserved way more love
Zelda: Spirit Tracks for the DS, keeping the Toon Link train rolling
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon & Pokémon Platinum Version, capturing that mid-gen Pokémon magic
Final Fantasy Crystal Bearers—that ambitious, divisive, and totally unforgettable action RPG
A window into a wild era when the Wii was king and handhelds were still delivering serious JRPG heat.
3. Stack of Nintendo Power Magazines
The Son of Chaser adds more fire to his 2025 sidequest to collect the full run of Nintendo Power. Check these out:
Stunt Race FX – That SNES 3D magic, baby!
The Sims (GameCube) – Who remembers Sims on console? This issue dives in.
Soul Calibur II – A showdown for the ages, especially with Link repping on the GameCube version.
Star Fox Assault – A new Arwing adventure on the purple lunchbox.
Killer 7 – One of the strangest, most stylish games ever made. This cover POPS.
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin – Peak DS vibes and Gothic Nintendo goodness.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix – The magic hit Nintendo consoles hard.
Pokémon Perspectives – A thoughtful issue diving into the future of the franchise at the time.
RAD CHASER'S HAUL:
1. PlayStation Magazine (Final Fantasy XII cover)
We had to bend the rules for this one—this mag is gorgeous. FF12 may be divisive, but this issue captures all the hype and production value that Square Enix poured into the PS2’s swan song RPGs.
2. Smash Bros. Melee BradyGames Guide
The definitive casual Melee companion. Packed with character strategies, stage info, and deep pre-Brawl era trivia. A must-have.
3. Mario Kart Double Dash Official Nintendo Player's Guide
Tag-team kart chaos, now with strategies straight from the Big N. This one’s a gem—every character combo, every shortcut, every rubber-banding secret.
4. Original NES Control Deck Manual
You know I love the roots. Getting this booklet—the one packed with setup diagrams and that perfect vintage layout—is like holding history in your hands. A piece of the original Nintendo charm.
5. NES Pickups:
Werewolf: The Last Warrior – A gritty action platformer with comic book vibes. Underrated and super rad.
Romance of the Three Kingdoms – One of the earliest deep-cut strategy games on the NES. Think Fire Emblem meets Dynasty Warriors… before either of those were things!
This haul had everything we love: rare finds, deep cuts, and physical media that FEELS GOOD to hold. Whether it’s guides that helped shape our childhood or NES cartridges that still work like magic, Gamers Inc was a total win.
Let us know in the comments:
Do you still collect old guides or magazines?
Which of these pickups would YOU be most hyped about?
And do you remember flipping through catalogs like these when you were a kid?
Thanks again for tuning in. The quest continues—and as always…
Stay Rad. Stay Chasing.
