High on Life is a comedic sci-fi Metroidvania first-person shooter game created by Justin Roiland and developed and published by Squanch Games. It takes place in a science fiction world and features talking guns. The game includes voice acting from Justin Roiland, J.B. Smoove, Tim Robinson, Tom Kenny, Zach Hadel and Michael Cusack.
Taking place in the future, humans have been captured by a malicious alien cartel known as the G3 Cartel led by Garmantuous to be used as drugs. Playing the role as a bounty hunter, the player must navigate throughout the galaxy to save the humanity by using weapons called Galatians, used to take out the threats.
The player has access to four distinct guns and a knife, and they can purchase additional movement abilities, such as a dash and a forward slide in the in-game store. The guns in the game are sentient. Roiland voiced the pistol Kenny; JB Smoove voiced the shotgun Gus; Betsy Sodaro plays Sweezy; Tim Robinson plays Creature. The game has also been confirmed to be exclusively single-player.
