High on Life is a new game released on PC and Xbox from Justin Roiland team, Squanch Games. The game came out also on Gamepass, which is what allowed us to begin the journey in this absolute trip of a video game.
Buck Thunder 2 Xenoslaughter is the name of the game, but we thought it was High on Life? Turns out the introduction to the game here is a completely different game. While the intro teaches you the controls to the game, it takes you on a journey with Phil, your personal companion in this Doom like game. Phil helps you prepare for the real game ahead, as later in this intro it is revealed that Buck Thunder is a fictional game in the world of High on Life. The first must have been so good that they decided to make another, which your character promptly purchased. Justin Roiland provides the voice for Phil, sounding very similar to Rick from Rick and Morty and oh man it is hilarious!
