When Neo and Keiichi run into Takano and Tomitake again, Keiichi has a conversation with them that eventually leads to them theorizing who this year's curse victims will be. Keiichi proceeds to ask them questions that obviously point to his desire to see the curse kill Satoko's uncle, and when confronting him on this rather than scold him for his questions he decides to tell Keiichi some information that he makes him promise to not tell anyone the source of: that being her.

Later on, Keiichi decides that he needs to do something about Satoko's situation rather than sit around and hope for the best, and to that end he convinces the rest of the club to get their homeroom teacher to call the same child protection services that intervened in Satoko's abusive household previously...
