Sony has finally confirmed that the long-rumored PS5 Slim is real and due out in November¹. The new console will be available in the US at the official PlayStation store and "select local retailers" in November, and will "continue to roll out globally in the following months," according to PlayStation's announcement¹.

The PS5 Slim will come in a $500 USD version with an included UHD Blu-ray drive, and a digital-only model priced at $450. Both models include 1TB of internal storage, a slight upgrade from the previous 825GB SSD¹. The disc drive itself is detachable, and can be purchased separately for $80 and mounted to the digital unit¹.

While a horizontal stand will still be included with the console, you'll now also be able to purchase a vertical stand for $30¹. The new model "has been reduced in volume by more than 30%, and weight by 18% and 24% compared to the previous models¹."

There have been reports that Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) has received a rating on the Australian Classification Board’s website1. The game has been rated MA15+12. This rating has been provided as the game consists of "Strong Sex Scenes and Strong Drug Use". It’s interesting to note that this is a lower rating than previous titles by Rockstar such as Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online, which were given a classification of R18+1. However, it’s important to remember that this information comes directly from the official Australian Classification website of the Australian Government. As of now, no other details for the title have been revealed on the website

Sony has officially confirmed the PS5 cloud streaming launch date1. The feature will be available to PS Plus Premium members, allowing them to stream select Game Catalog titles like Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Horizon Forbidden West, Ghost of Tsushima, and more, without having to download or actually own them.

The PS5 cloud streaming is slated to launch on the following dates in local times:

Japan – targeting October 172
Europe – targeting October 232
North America – targeting October 302
Players can stream any titles they own digitally — no download needed — such as the new God of War Ragnarök, Resident Evil 4, and Dead Island 2, to name just a few, including any additional DLCs. As for quality, Playstation is offering four high-quality resolutions to choose from — 720p, 1080p, 1440p, and 4K, all with 60fps and SDR or HDR output3. While players can certainly choose their preferred resolution, the results will ultimately depend on the type of internet connection they have. Sony recommends at least 15mbps for 1080p streaming and above 38mbps for 4K

The Last of Us Part 2 PS5 edition has been hinted at by the series’ composer Gustavo Santaolalla1. He mentioned in an interview that "in the new editions you’re gonna be able to make me play certain tracks, and well, I can’t tell you anything else"1. This seems to suggest that there will be new features and content in the PS5 version1.

Moreover, Mark Pajarillo, Lead Outsource Artist at Naughty Dog, has listed “The Last of Us 2: Remastered” on his LinkedIn profile2. This further confirms the existence of a remastered version for PS52.
