Someone is going to see the thumbnail and immediately get offended at my opinion of Honkai: Star Rail. But if you know, you REALLY know. And unlike other highly anticipated games from 2023, Hoyoverse's latest high production gatcha cash cow does deliver the goods. Obviously, it's just a matter of whether you want them. This game is definitely NOT Genshin Impact (or, apparently, Honkai Impact 3rd, which I haven't played), and not just because of the turn based combat or the sci-fi setting. A lot of interesting stuff can happen when you don't have a floating babysitter following you around acting as the main character's proxy. So in this video, enjoy a little combat, a little gatcha, a little story, and hopefully a sense of my impressions of the game upon release.
