ORIGIN OF THE SONG (names are changed to protect the innocents):
This song was inspired by one of my first experiences with an AI service that generates text, as well as the backstage drama within a power metal band.
This band (let's call it Green Band) used to have a singer (let's call him Singer) who ended up getting booted out.
While Green Band was looking for a replacement, Singer founded another band (let's call it Gold Band) whose songs had very similar themes to those of Green Band.
Meanwhile, I had learned about an AI service based on a generative pre-trained transformer (let's call it HootsGPT, because I don't give two hoots about generating text with that anymore), and to test it, I asked it to generate the lyrics of a song (that remains unreleased) in the style of Green Band. The resulting lyrics could be sung over the melody of a song by Gold Band. At that point I had a hilarious vision of Singer writing songs for Gold Band by asking HootsGPT to write songs in the style of Green band, so I used my natural intelligence to write the lyrics of a song about that.
I had originally written it and recorded it as a parody of a song by an unrelated band, but that wouldn't fly with Youtube, so I used Suno to generate a brand new base to sing the lyrics over. And this is the result!
