Horizon Zero Dawn - Combat Tutorial
0Hey everyone, and welcome back to the Horizon Zero Dawn exhibitions series! Today, we're doing the combat tutorial.
Hiding in the tall grass and getting the jump on your enemy can prove to be the most effective takedown method. You can also throw rocks to distract the enemy by holding and releasing down on the D-pad when the rocks are cycled to the bottom slot. Ultimately, what you need to do is hit them in their weak points, which you can see in their entry in the bestiary, or by simply looking for the glowing yellow parts of their bodies, the canisters. Their "eyes" are also a very good target, and often are the easiest to hit if they have detected you and started fighting. If you have the upgrade (which is probably the first one you'll get), you can perform an instant stealth takedown on most enemies by pressing R1 near an enemy that hasn't detected you.
