Horizon Zero Dawn - Healing and Stealth Tutorial
Hey guys, and welcome back to the Horizon Zero Dawn Exhibitions series! Today, we're looking at the healing and stealth tutorials.
In order to heal yourself, you need the berries of a plant called Salvebrush. You can recognize them in the wild because they have a "plus" icon above them. The amount of Salvebrush you have is represented by the green bar under your Health bar. Pressing up on the D-pad will allow Aloy to begin healing. After pressing up, the Medicine Pouch will automatically start distributing into the Health gauge until either you run out of Salvebrush or Aloy's health is full. Healing usually takes a few seconds to complete, so you might be partially in danger until it's done, depending on how much Health you have left and how much damage the enemies do. But, you can get some upgrades by leveling up that can speed up the process.
To crouch down, press the Square button (you can press it again to stop crouching). You are best hidden when crouching in tall grass and moving slowly. At the top of the screen, you can see an eye and a few sound waves on either side of the eye. If you are visible, the eye will be open. If you are hidden, the eye will be closed. If you are audible, there will be more sound waves (up to 3 on both sides). If you are silent, there will be no sound waves. Use these indicators to sneak through areas undetected.
Just keep in mind that the Watchers, which are those raptor-like robots with searchlights, will notify other nearby robots of your presence if they detect you, so it really pays off to avoid them completely or take them down first before attacking other robots.
Good luck!
