Horizon Zero Dawn™ - Airwalk Glitch
8This is a glitch that was discovered a few years back and I wanted to see if it was real and worked, so I reinstalled from my disc and disconnected from the internet so my game wouldn't update from the original version 1.0. This allows for some funky glitches like this one, but does not allow for the Frozen Wilds flying mount glitch since I can't install the DLC.
This glitch actually does work and it can be done like this:
1. Progress to the point where Aloy grows up and starts her very first adult quest, the spear is needed for this glitch to work.
2. Pick up a rock (if you don't already have one from the child Aloy quests) then make sure to NOT have a weapon in hand (hold R1 to bring up the weapon wheel then click R3 to put away any active weapon)
3. Hold DOWN on the D-Pad to bring up the rock aiming arc.
4. While aiming the rock, press R1 to make Aloy swing her spear. You should see her spear glitch at the end of the animation. If not, press R1 again. If it still does not glitch, repeat Step 3.
5. You can verify the glitch is active by moving the left stick and Aloy should spin in place. If she spins, you're good to go for the next step. If not, repeat above steps (it took me 2 or 3 tries to get it to work, as you can see in the video).
6. Press X to lock Aloy's height and now you can freely move around the environment using the left stick to control Aloy and the right stick to control the camera.
Some things to note though:
1. This glitch does not allow you to pass thru invisible walls.
2. This glitch does not allow you to pass thru the loading screens. If I find something contrary to this I'll update these notes and link to my video.
3. You can easily gain height by pushing Aloy into "ramps" like rocks, roofs, sloped ground, etc.
4. You can use inverted ramps to decrease her height, like pushing her underneath rocks, or roof overhangs, but I haven't found many yet...
