Hoshi Furu Yoru no Monogatari Game Sample - PC/Doujin

Inbetween uploading a couple more 3DO videos, I took the opportunity to spam another game from Alpha Secret Base. This time, it's a game with a long name titled "Hoshi Furu Yoru no Monogatari" (星降る夜の物語) which roughly translates to "Legend of the Falling Evening Star".
This is a fun little repetitive puzzle/action game that incorporates characters from previous Alpha Secret Base games and uses a strange premise. You grab...things that change depending on the star you are playing on (since you play on different stars) and each star has a different theme. The game basically functions sorta like a 360 degree Pac-Man. There are doors/portals that move you around to avoid the enemies that chase you. For example, in this video, there are two red doors and two blue doors. By going in a red door, you are teleported to the opposite red door. That is how you would avoid enemies.
You can't jump, you just run. However, by grabbing items in a particular sequence, you can power your character up and "scare" the enemies like Pac-Man. By touching them when they are scared, you can destroy them and get an enemy bonus. When they are destroyed, they go back to the center of the star and come back just like ghosts. Grab one of each item and you can make the enemies scared. You get bonus points by grabbing three of the same item in a row.
The strangest part is the better you do, the more "civilized" the star becomes. It will spring more objects and come to life at the end of the round, which adds to your bonus. It's actually surprisingly addictive. If there was a little more to this game, it could be marketed for something like the Nintendo DS.
This is just me playing the timed stage (standard mode) on Star 14 fighting against "Mius" from Fairy Attackers. This game also has cool, atmospheric music from various Alpha Secret Base games...one star even has the boss theme from Fairy Attackers.
Last thing to note: This game often gets mistaken for the "NiGHTS" sequel (Journey of Dreams) not for the gameplay, but because of the names, which are almost exactly the same (NiGHTS: Hoshi Furu Yoru no Monogatari versus Hoshi Furu Yoru no Monogatari). Enjoy.
