Hot Summer 2005 Campaign Commercial (Game Rip) (4K60 Upscale)
0This is the 4K60 (not AI) upscale of the native 640x480 .sfd interlaced Japanese commercial for a "Hot Summer Campaign" featuring some Nintendo promotional items, that was included in the Gekkan Nintendo Tentou Demo 2005.7.1 GameCube demo disc.
...Does the logo look like Boston Pizza to anyone else?
This was ripped from the disc itself alongside all the other .sfd trailers in a singular .tgc file. I used a cmd function to change the tgc file into a .gcm file, and then used GCIT to open said .gcm file to extract all the .sfd files from it.
As with any .sfd file, I converted the file into an audio-less .mkv (optional, I just prefer it over .mp4) file with Handbrake, and using the SFD to MPG Converter, I was able to get the audio as an .mp3 (all seem to be 192kbps) and .wav file. This time I'm opting for the .mp3 file as I guess it's the most "true" file (.wav is lossless but much bigger and I'm curious if it's even factually better?).
Anyway I merged the two with Avidemux, deinterlaced it with Yadif, and added 32px black borders on the side to make it the correct aspect ratio when upscaling it to 4:3, then do said upscaling to 2880x2160.
