The Party is a great success until Gwen kisses Trent, causing Gru to overeact. In his outbursts, he confesses that he tricked Gwen with the fake village. Things get even worse when Trent's Human identity is exposed. Despite knowing who he really is, Gwen hugs him and wants to be with him. Trent feigns disinterest in her and rejects her out of respect for her father and leaves.
