House of The Dead Remake is a horror-themed rail shooting game developed by MegaPixel Studio, published by Forever Entertainment, and licensed by Sega. It is a remake of Sega AM1's 1996 arcade game The House of the Dead, and is an entry in the mainline House of the Dead series.

Set in December 1998, the game follows AMS agents Thomas Rogan and G as they confront biologically-engineered creatures in the mansion of Dr. Curien, a mad scientist.

MegaPixel wanted to update The House of the Dead for modern audiences. They remade the entire game from scratch, as they did not have access to the original assets. Sega, who is splitting the revenue with MegaPixel, was involved in development while Sega AM1 was not.

The House of the Dead: Remake was revealed on April 14th, 2021 as a Nintendo Switch exclusive. Initially scheduled to release at the end of 2021, the game was delayed to April 7th, 2022. Versions for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia were released on April 28th. Physical editions were developed by Microids and Forever Limited.

The House of the Dead: Remake was generally praised for its graphics and faithfulness to the original game, but was criticized for its short length, new soundtrack, aiming controls, and lack of an official light gun peripheral. A remake of The House of the Dead 2 is in development
