Seriously, because of how stop and start the motion in this show is, he often just sits there and takes the attack. Many times he stops MID-FLIGHT to gasp at the attack and let it hit him. Granted in this particular instance he seemingly had little time to react compared to the other times...but I wasn't going to scour the Danny phantom episodes just to get the perfect scene. Sure it wouldn't have taken THAT long but I've got stuff to do.
