How Did I Miss This One? Vengeful Rites Looks and Plays Amazing In The Samsung Odyssey+
16So lately I have been on a bit of a VR RPG binge playing games like Shadow Legend, Karnage Chronicles and the closed beta of The Soul Keeper and this got me in the mood to revisit Vengeful Rites and I'm glad I did!
The last time I had played this one was way early and in my Oculus Rift and I remember not having the best experience and putting the game back on the shelf to mature a bit. So while doing a bit of sifting through my vast Steam library I noticed that Vengeful Rites had had an update back in February that added full WMR support. Since I now have the Odyssey+ I decided to reinstall it to give it a test and I was blown away by just how much the game had improved!
Overall Vengeful Rites is your typical VR RPG and seems to follow the model of most of the others I have been playing recently. What I am really liking about this one is the art style and the melee combat model.
The graphics in Vengeful Rites are nice and crisp due to the cartoon style and the colors really pop nicely on the screen of the Odyssey+. I was also impressed with the fast paced melee combat in the game not causing issues with the WMR inside out tracking. Being used to playing most games in the Rift I am very sensitive to the tracking lag that sometimes comes with games played in WMR headsets and I was glad to see this one was not one of them... The WMR implementation in Vengeful Rites is very good!
