VR On The Go - Checking Out The Oculus Go Travel Case And Playing Eclipse: Edge Of Light
Today on VR On The Go I am taking a look at the new Oculus Go travel case and playing a bit of Eclipse: Edge of Light.
First I have to say thank you to Oculus for sending me this nice travel case for my Go. The case is sturdy and fits the Go and accessories like a glove. Its materials feel nice and the case has lots of room for storage of the Go controller and charging cables/earbuds. I also compared it to my original Gear VR Innovator case and it is very similar. I am however missing the storage net in the Gear VR case already since the new Go case doesn't have a dedicated spot for storing the many cables I need to carry with me for recording from my Go. For those who don't have a need to carry additional audio cables there will be plenty of storage and the case should fit everything nicely.
I also played a bit of the recently released Eclipse: Edge of light and I have to say I'm really enjoying it so far. the game is very chill and has a great ambient soundtrack. The graphics are good and I am loving the large scale of some of the rooms. Overall I am not really finding much of a challenge so far and it seems to be a nice relaxing walking simulator where the player is moving from place to place scanning artifacts as a story starts to unfold. I am hoping that there will be some puzzles or something more interactive than trowing the games artifact around but if your looking for something relaxing to play this game will fit the bill nicely.
Now if you read this far I want to let you know that Oculus also sent me an extra case to give away. So to win yourself a new Oculus Go travel case just watch to the end of the video for instructions on how to do it. I will take entries until 11/23 and will inform the winner directly so good luck!
