How hot is the Sun - things you should know (in less than a minute) #shorts
The Sun is extremely hot, with temperatures reaching up to about 15 million degrees Celsius (27 million degrees Fahrenheit) at its core. However, the temperature of the Sun's surface, known as the photosphere, is around 5,500 degrees Celsius (9,932 degrees Fahrenheit). Despite the high temperatures of the Sun's interior, the vast majority of its energy is generated through nuclear fusion reactions that occur within the core. The energy released from these reactions heats up the surrounding plasma, which produces the Sun's intense light and heat that sustains life on Earth.
