How I got Battledfield 4 Beta to run 60FPS. Benchmark FPS Counter 7850, Crossfire, 7970
People keep asking me for a single 7850 benchmark
on BF4 Open Beta so I'm switching the crossfire setting
around a few times and the game suddenly gets much faster!
Crossfire On Catalyst 13.4 = 20-30FPS
Crossfire On Catalyst 13.10 = 30-40FPS (10fps faster!)
Switched Crossfire Off = 30-40FPS! (WTF! the same?)
Switched Crossfire On = 15FPS! (Did they mix it up?)
Switched Crossfire Off = 30-40FPS! (Yeah maybe)
Switched Crossfire On = 50-60FPS! (OMG! 60FPS!)
Then it crashes again with E_OUTOFMEMORY error. As
I show in the video I have 4GB of Dedicated Video Memory!
I've seen this happen in both Catalyst 13.4 and 13.10 now.
I'm using Intel i5 3570k + 2x 7850s in Crossfire + Win 7 64.
In this video I had the CPU and GPU overclocked.
CPU 4.2Ghz, GPUs 1050/1450, +20% power.
These are stable values I've used many times.
The same crash has happened on stock clocks.
2x 7850s are the equivalent of a 7970
(2048 Stream Processor Units) so you can use
this as a good guide to to how fast a 7970 runs.
