In January 2024, I weighed just over 26 stone. As of today, I’m 19 stone 9lb - 90lb down, and for the first time since 2016, I’m under 20 stone.
I’ve still got a long way to go (my goal is 13.5 stone), but I wanted to share exactly how I’ve made this progress so far.
This isn’t a guide or a plan - just an honest chat about what worked for me:
My gallbladder removal kickstarted it
No more takeaways or ready meals
Big monthly Costco shops + home-cooked meals
Some walking, swimming, minimal gym
Weekly weigh-ins, occasional MyFitnessPal use
It's not quick, and it’s definitely not perfect - but it’s sustainable.
