Many people talk about that you should only have 1 credit card...

This is something that I don't believe to be true. From my experience then having more than one credit card does not affect your credit report / credit score / rating.

I believe that you can have as many credit cards as it is you wish to have. Or you can have as many credit cards as the credit card companies give you. You just have to be 100% sure that you can manage the cards giving to you.

Again I don't believe having more than 1 credit card affects your credit score / rating. Instead I feel it is missing payments, going over your credit limit, constantly paying the minimum payment each month etc... which degrades your credit report / score etc...
