Today's tip: Look for the sun. Typically, if you're in the northern hemisphere, the sun will be to the south. In the southern hemisphere, the sun will be to the north. It can be misleading if you're closer to the tropics, and useless if you're at the equator, but it can help distinguish between UK/Canada/US and Australia/New Zealand/South Africa, for example.
