How Snake Was Animated with 2 Rigs | The Bad Guys 2
Cheating to Camera: Using 2 Snake Rigs 🐍
Everyone loves a good animation cheat — and this shot from The Bad Guys is a perfect example. To hit the specific poses needed for Snake’s acting performance, I actually had to use two separate snake rigs.
The key challenge? Making him still feel like a single, solid character. The solution was to keep his body “volume” consistent: when one part of the body moved in, it naturally pulled on another area. This trick helped Snake feel fluid, believable, and full of personality on screen.
