Neowiz has just made its brilliant Lies of P even better with Overture, a DLC expansion that adds a prequel story to the Pinocchio-inspired Soulslike. Unfortunately, you can’t simply jump straight into Overture — you’ll need to do a bit of legwork first.
Before you can jump into the Overture expansion, you’ll need to have completed up to the end of Chapter 9 of the Lies of P base game. Once you’ve reached that point of the game, you’ll find a new Functional item in your inventory: a Star’s Chrysalis.
With that Star’s Chrysalis, you’ll also get a new quest icon to follow. Head to Path of the Pilgrim, where a cutscene will begin, marking the start of Lies of P: Overture.
Each time you start a new game of Lies of P, you’ll need to reactivate the Star’s Chrysalis by reaching the end of Chapter 9 if you want to access the Overture content.
