There are two main types of discounts on Shopify:
Percentage discounts: These discounts reduce the price of a product or order by a certain percentage.
Amount-off discounts: These discounts reduce the price of a product or order by a certain amount.
You can also create automatic discounts, which are applied automatically to customers' carts when they meet certain criteria, such as spending a certain amount of money or purchasing a certain number of items.
To create a discount on Shopify:
Go to your Shopify admin panel.
Click on Discounts then Create discount.
Enter a name for your discount and select the type of discount you want to create.
Set the parameters for your discount, such as the discount amount, the products or collections that the discount applies to, and the dates that the discount is valid for.
Click on Create discount.
